I really liked this movie, and if you're a fan of hers too, you'll enjoy it. Whoa, Keanu Promising student Rick Brogan discovers that his father whom he idolizes is cheating on his mother. After the relatively demanding "Cracks", I felt like a nice movie, something comforting from the past... and this one fit the mood well. I was surprised with this old flick, haven't actually seen it before but its really good, really sweet and touching. For Keeps is a 1988 American coming of age comedy drama film starring Molly Ringwald and Randall Batinkoff as Darcy and Stan, two high school seniors in love.
Randall Batinkoff is also nice as Stan.
The script does not sound the way that real people talk- it sounded very much like the way middle-age people think teenagers talk. It was a great movie, but ROUGH! It is not made to look easy, because it isn't, and they have every sort of doubt and trouble that you can imagine. I had tried purchasing this on Ebay but failed as the prices seeme to sky rocket as this dvd is no longer in production and copies are limited! I watched it years ago and cried when they cried and laughed when they laughed.
