If you decided on an HM refurb, make sure you have the warranty.
8-10 hours a day of use. Also I own it since so many years I can't even say if the 12-years warranty is over or not. I think this is key. Just like the Herman Miller Embody, the Duramont chair has … If you work from home it's a business expense.I have one that is 15+ years, like new still. Duramont chair is a Herman Miller less expensive alternative, yet it gives you something that the original chair lacks – an additional neck support! I have a bit of a numb ass, but I think that's something I will get used to. You'll be glad you did.Sit in the chairs, and pick one you like. the "refurbished site" drilling aeron chairs for )650.00 in like new condition could have been reupholstered with some crappy mesh, new they are 1,000.00 but carry a warranty. The only problem I have faced is that it makes some creeks in the back plastic that’s just slightly annoying. Do you mind if I add this to our sidebar rotator? What you do for a living?
Anyway, those are my initial thoughts of the Herman Miller Embody. It just seemed too short.
I was thinking about getting the same table for my embody chair but my current desk has a very thin plate and im worried that my thighs or the chair's armrest could get in the way.Bog stock black. It’s the only combo we can get without a 12 week custom order.
I have RA and chronic low back pain so I was part of the decision making team when we designed the new office space.
Make sure you get the mesh back and fully adjustable setup and you'll feel floaty. Jumping into an Aeron C it felt more like the seat pan of the Embody, but loose everywhere else.I think ultimately I prefer the more established look of the Aeron, but I just couldn't find myself being comfortable in that chair over long periods at home. It still looks brand new. At first it will feel uncomfortable as if the chair is trying to throw you forward off of it, but you'll quickly get used to it.
On the photo you've lowered the chair's armrests so that they fit under it. In some ways it seems a silly time to buy the Embody with that coming, but I don't think that it'll be at the same price point or quality standard.
We have gestures at work, and after a few weeks of fiddling, I found instructions and figured out how they worked.
If you're patient, you can find them on your classifieds gently used by one person for 3-400 bucks and sometimes cheaper if they don't know what it is.I can't answer your questions but I've had my Aeron for about 6 years and it's as comfortable as the day I got it. Was scrolling through instagram and admiring the Design yard @ Herman Miller.
To my surprise, they had 2 in stock (only in the Graphite/Graphite option). Great ergonomics & comfort and it should last pretty well.
I assumed that I was going to get an aeron until I tried one. Take a look at the herman miller (company store)[I have the HM Mirra 2 and we have those at work as well. I think they're far more comfortable than the Aeron and Mirra. It's certainly not the most comfortable chair ever - but it's quite nice.I closely considered the Aeron, which was my initial choice, but I felt so upright and stiff in that chair.
But do you leave the armrests always at that height and keep your elbows on the table or do you adjust them to be level with the desk plate? This seems to be the best (sane) route. Will these chairs really last for life? It may also have too much of a gamer look and feel.
And get the right size Aeron/Mirra for your build/weightFor me, Leap ended up most comfortable. I'm thinking about buying one for my home office actually.I went from a 3 year old IKEA Markus to an Aeron a couple months ago and will never look back. It is a great chair and I cannot imagine buying anything else. It will be much better for your body and comfort.I own both a Embody and an Aeron chair.
That's a pretty nasty fail in my book : )The only criticism I see repeatedly made about the Aeron is about people that have the plastic around the pellicle mesh somehow putting pressure on their thigh / legs. I don't see how that's possible.
I’m putting a lot of trust in HM.Sitting in the chair on 4 occasions for a total of about 3 hours (last was an hour stint yesterday when I bought it). My tailbone hurts using it.
