My only real complaints are the lack of a trunk rack (we added a Harley rack), the add-on diver's back rest isn't removable, and the seat isn't as supportive as I would prefer of someone my size. Working on the wing is a real pain such as changing the air filter. Buy it, you won't be disappointed! It has been around for a long time and is proven to be reliable and requires minimum maintainance. It has a lot of leg room and seats. I have a 32" inseam and didn't have a problem with it, but others that I know are more inseam challenged and have to tip toe it at a stop. I moved up from an old CSR650 to the Voyager XII and it took all of 2 minutes to feel comfortable with this massive bike. All the controls are conveniently located and easy to use. Within the first 300 miles I had the gas line fall off (no shutoff so gas went everywhere), the air shocks leaked, the bolts fell out of the trunk,the odometer unit chattered & the battery died. Just returned from a 8 day trip to the smoky mountains. It is very durable and easy to work on when it is needed. At 45 MPG, as long as I cruise under 70 MPH, it's very economical to ride, it drops to 41MPG after that. I have a 1999, that I just bought and it is a great ride.
