It's a pretty ambitious book, and has some vivid spy encounters, but it shifts gears so many times, it's impossible to remember what's going on and what your mission is. I'd always wanted to read these as a child but my parents didn't see the value.

You also cant read the same path twice. Eventually he tries to get away and he cracked the code of the whalesong.

That is how the beggining of the book Your Code Name is Jonah starts. He is trying to crack the code of the whalesong that they are talking about and so people are trying to make him not find out about it. First off, I really enjoyed this book as a kid... 'specially back then as I had a big interest in "spy stuff." I mean, even at age 11 I knew that in real life you can sometimes make a choice that results in your own death, but it had never happened to me before, and I preferred not to think about it. Me parecio muy interesante lo de tomar desiciones, me gustaria leer todos los finales, lastima que siempre tomo malas desiciones y casi siempre muero.

The choices and options are interesting, but parents should note that this story isn't shy about the idea of guns and shooting.

I can't tell you which Choose your own Adventure books, I read. I also like how you choose your own path based on instincts. On a special mission to Deception Island off the coast of Greenland, you discover a secret of world wide important. Code Name: Jonah brings a tight mix of post-bop jazz, smooth funk, and space age goodness with every beat, every note, and every song.

I loved Choose your own Adventure books growing up; they had a big impact on me, and while I haven't really read any since, they earned 4 stars for their creativity and freedom. This book is a really decent spy romp in which you are assigned the task of intercepting/protecting a secret message to keep it out of the hands of the Russians... a secret message communicated by whales! Love it.Simply awful. As another reviewer posted, you are an adult in this book... which is a nice change from always being a "dumb kid" or something similar. Genial, tuve otro final bueno.

This is a surprisingly good spy adventure, laced throughout with difficult, thought-provoking decisions to make, leading the reader on harrowing paths that unexpectedly veer toward both victory and defeat numerous times before the final end is reached.

Also, this is one of the few I can think of where "You" are clearly an adult.
