Plot summary Ralph is a mouse who lives in the run-down Mountain View Inn, a battered resort hotel in the Sierra Nevada mountain range of California. Later, Brad meets Costa and he shows him his ultimate mouse trap. He rides across the room and Mrs. Gridley is shocked. Keith hands Ralph back the crash helmet and he decides to buy another motorcycle.

Ralph comes out of the ambulance and introduces his name to him.

Ryan has given Ralph the full name of "Ralph S. Mouse", the middle initial standing for "Smart". Ralph further discovers that he can safely give his younger relatives rides in the car without worrying that they will be irresponsible with it (but only Ralph can drive the car). He taunts Schnitzel and leads him and his owner to the elevator. Catso lunges at his cage and knocks it over, freeing Ralph.

Ralph and his family are watching a cartoon about a heroic mouse defeating an evil cat until the manager wakes up and shuts off the TV when a boy named Garf Jerringa and his family arrive, much to Ralph's dismay. This novel study divides Ralph S. Mouse into five sections for study.

However, he notices his siblings playing with his motorcycle and comes down to stop them from hurting themselves, but his mother berates him for being selfish.

Eventually, the students begin presenting their items. Miss K. thought that Ralph was a interesting and cute pet. He rode his motorcycle every night. Ralph turns on the radio and stumbles upon a wheel of tape. One night Keith becomes very sick, because his parents don't have any more aspirin and are unable to obtain one until morning.

Ralph sneaks into the girls' bedroom, but Karen and her friends come in and Ralph is forced to hide under her sleeping bag.

He notices the TempQuit medicine and jumps with joy.

His nephews and nieces convince him to give them rides on his motorcycle, but he refuses.

The following night, Catso sneaks into the art room and Chum tries to warn Ralph about Catso's presence, but Ralph ignores him. Meanwhile, a dog named Schnitzel becomes annoyed by the noises outside and his owner lets him out. Ralph says he doesn't need any help and offers Matt to open the door for him, but he refuses. They set up traps and Uncle Lester scolds Ralph for putting his family into serious jeopardy. Meanwhile, Merton sneaks into the art room and mistakens Karen's watch for a live mouse. Ralph and Keith wish each other good luck and he and his family leave the hotel, while Ralph rides the hall, much to Mrs. Gridley's surprise, but notices him wearing his crash helmet this time. Worried that their droppings on the floor will result in anti-mouse retaliation by the hotel staff, he asks Ryan to take him to school, where he plans to hide and live out the rest of his life.

Garf and Ralph head to the boys' bedroom and go to sleep. Ryan promises to give it back to him after the maze, but Ralph refuses. The following night, Ralph leaves the boot and turns on the lights of the decorations.

Ralph demonstrates that he can juggle and Garf tries to do the same, with no success. She leaves the room and Keith searches for Ralph.
